An ORAL CANCER SCREENING doesn’t require any special preparation. We may conduct an oral cancer screening during the dental exam.
WHAT IS ORAL CANCER ?
A malignancy of the lips, tongue, floor of mouth, salivary glands, buccal mucosa, gingiva, palate. Most oral cancers are linked to tobacco use and/or smoking and tend to spread rapidly. High risk factors for oral cancers include: alcohol abuse, poor dental and oral hygiene, chronic irritation (rough teeth, dentures, etc.). Oral cancers may begin as leukemia or mouth ulcers.
- Ulcer or sore in your mouth
- Red or white patch in your mouth
- Unexplained pain in your mouth or ear
- Unexplained lump in your neck
- Sore or painful throat
- Croaky voice or difficulty swallowing
There’s not one bad thing to say about Dr. Robbins or his staff. They are simply amazing, comforting, and professional! I’ve never had a better experience with a dentist!
Just like his father in law before him (Mike McBride), Jeremy is the only one I trust my (and my kids’) smile with. Great hygienist staff as well. Could not be more happy with this office!!!
